My Name is Daniel Driver.
I am mechanical engineer who focuses in computational modelling by trade, but am afflicted by an insatiable need to learn about the world around me. Currently I am on a journey to own an electric car while living in an apartment. I had started on a series about life as an Urban EV enthusiast, but the pandemic and life got in the way and after a move to NY I sold my car. The learning didn’t stop though and I am excited to get back to sharing about my projects and maybe some updated thoughts on EVs (Hint…still an enthusiast, just not an owner)! You can find some of my code at https://github.com/dan-driver.
I graduated from UC Berkeley with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Computational Engineering for Design and Manufacturing. I was a member of the Computational Material Research Lab(CMRL) advised by Prof. Tarek Zohdi.
